Proposed Service System
Changes
The message of hope and recovery through Narcotics
Anonymous reaches more and more addicts every day. With over 58,000
home group meetings in hundreds of countries and dozens of
languages, a need to remain flexible and accessible has been
identified.
Our current Service Structure has served the
fellowship well through years of growth in the number of meetings
and members. However, it was conceived at a time when we had
approximately 1000 Home Groups in just a handful of areas.
Initiatives have been proposed to shift toward a more responsive,
less cumbersome, Service System to encourage more members
to serve at group, area and higher levels and to make the
fellowship more effective at meeting the needs of the individual
addict seeking recovery.
NA BELONGS TO YOU AND YOUR VOICE IS
NEEDED! Service positions in
Narcotics Anonymous are of just that- SERVICE, not government and
your input is important in determining the course our fellowship
takes in its efforts to better provide the opportunity for
recovery.
