Subcommittees
Activities
The purpose of the M.O.A.S.C.N.A. Activities Subcommittee is to plan and implement activities that promote recovery and unity in the diverse fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous. All M.O.A.S.C.N.A. functions are the responsibility of the Activities Subcommittee.
The next meeting of the Activities Committee is July 6, after the Area Service Committee meeting at 3:00 PM.
Hospitals & Institutions
The purpose of an H & I meeting is to carry the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. H & I meetings/presentations, except for those in longer term facilities, are intended to simply introduce those attending to some of the basics of the NA program.
Currently there are no H & I meetings scheduled. Keep checking back to see what will happen.
Public Relations
The purpose of Public Relations work in Narcotics Anonymous is to inform the public that NA exists and offers recovery from the disease of addiction. A public relations committee helps to ensure that accurate information about our fellowship is available to the public.
Our primary purpose as a fellowship is to carry the message to the addict who still suffers. PR is a vital part of "carrying the message." This type of service calls upon us to communicate and participate in areas of the community in which, as using addicts, we were once unwelcome. Courage and humility are necessary ingredients in our recovery when approaching the public about our fellowship. We hope that you find this part of NA service as rewarding as we have.
Currently there are no P.R. meetings scheduled. Keep checking back to see what happens.
* Committee chairs, whenever possible please submit your meeting at least two weeks in advance. This list will be updated two times per month.
